Selfridges

We received a call from Ganor Dominic to create a unique piece that would display their AW18/19 shoe collection in which, as they assured, “You literally have Greek muses at your feet”. Getting the inspiration from the Hungarian photographer André Kertész’s distortion series in which he portrayed different bodies using concave and convex mirrors, we conceived a complex installation where rhythm and reflection collide to distort perception

The display was located in a pop up space at Selfridges London where several artists have showcased their most exclusive art pieces. At the same time, these installations have been serving as an exhibition stand for the shoe collections of some of the most exclusive firms in the world, such as Manolo Blahnik, Simone Rocha and J.W. Anderson.

We wanted to generate a space that would perfectly complement Ganor Dominic’s most special and original shoes. After a long process of experimenting with different materials and finishes, the result was a reflective landscape in which shadows and lights combined to create a surreal dream.
